Data safety
This page mirrors what we declare in the Google Play Data safety form, in plain language. If the two ever disagree, tell us - the Play declaration and this page are meant to say exactly the same thing.
In short
- No personal information is collected: no name, email, phone number, address or location.
- Anonymous app activity, crash logs and basic device info are collected to keep the app working.
- Limited preference signals support weekly phrase personalization; nothing is linked to an account or shared for advertising.
- Data is encrypted in transit, and you can request deletion of everything at any time.
This summary is for orientation only. The numbered sections below are the operative text.
The short version
- Does AuraSage collect data? Yes - a small amount of anonymous diagnostic data.
- Is that data shared with third parties? No, other than the processors that host analytics and crash reporting on our behalf under contract.
- Does personalization send my writing? No. It sends aggregate topic, tone, length and interaction signals and the non-private AuraSage phrases already held, never words you wrote.
- Is data encrypted in transit? Yes, over TLS.
- Can you request that data be deleted? Yes.
- Is any data required to use the app? No. Analytics can be turned off and the app remains fully functional.
- Does AuraSage follow the Google Play Families policy? The app is not directed to children and is not enrolled in the Families programme.
What is never collected
These categories appear in the Play Data safety form and are all declared as not collected:
- Personal info - name, email address, user IDs, address, phone number, race, ethnicity, political or religious beliefs, sexual orientation.
- Location - precise or approximate.
- Financial info - payment details, purchase history held by us, credit score.
- Health and fitness - health records, symptoms, fitness information.
- Messages, contacts, calendar, call logs, photos, videos, audio files or music.
- Files and docs, and any device or other identifier used for cross-app tracking.
Your custom affirmations, collections, reflections and voice recordings stay on your device. A limited snapshot of preference weights and interaction types is processed for weekly content personalization without an account identifier.
What is collected, and why
Everything in the table below is collected anonymously, is not linked to your identity, and is used only to keep the app reliable and to understand which features earn their place.
| Data type | Status | Shared | Linked to you | Why |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Device or other IDs - pseudonymous subscription identifier | Optional | Service provider processing | Not linked to your identity | App functionality and fraud prevention: verify paid access before generating premium narration. Not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. |
| App activity - weekly content preferences | Optional | Service provider processing | Not linked to you | App functionality and personalization: aggregate topic, tone, length, exclusion and interaction signals select up to ten new phrases. No user-authored text is included. |
| App activity - product events | Optional | Not shared | Not linked to you | Analytics and app functionality: which features are opened, saved, practised or dismissed. Records that an event happened, never the content involved. |
| App info and performance - crash logs | Collected | Not shared | Not linked to you | Crash and error diagnostics so defects can be reproduced and fixed. |
| App info and performance - diagnostics | Collected | Not shared | Not linked to you | App version, launch timings and performance measurements. |
| Device or other IDs - device model, OS version, locale | Collected | Not shared | Not linked to you | Reproducing device-specific bugs and rendering layouts and language correctly. Not an advertising identifier and not used for tracking. |
| Personal info - name, email, phone, address | Not collected | Not shared | - | AuraSage has no account system and never asks for contact details. |
| Location | Not collected | Not shared | - | The app has no location features and does not request the permission. |
| Health and fitness | Not collected | Not shared | - | AuraSage is a general wellness app and reads no health platform data. |
| Your custom affirmations, reflections and recordings | Not collected | Not shared | - | Stored in the app's private storage on your device. Never uploaded to us. |
| Photos, videos and audio files | Not collected | Not shared | - | Wallpaper and share-card images are processed on device and are never sent to us. |
| Financial info | Not collected | Not shared | - | Any purchase is processed by Google Play. We receive entitlement status only, never payment details. |
| Contacts, messages, calendar, call logs | Not collected | Not shared | - | The app does not request these permissions. |
Deletion
Because your practice data lives on your device, you delete it yourself: You → Privacy → Delete all my data, or uninstall the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be reversed.
Anonymous analytics and crash events cannot be traced back to an individual, so there is normally nothing person-specific for us to delete. If you would like the anonymous records associated with a particular installation purged, contact us through the developer contact details published on the AuraSage listing on Google Play with the date and approximate time of the events, and we will remove what we can identify.
See the Delete my data page for step-by-step instructions.
When this changes
Optional accounts, cloud backup and cross-device sync are on the roadmap and are not enabled today. If they ship, this page and the Play Data safety declaration will be updated before the feature is released, and syncing will be opt-in rather than on by default.
If a future release introduces a new collected data type, we will ask for your consent in the app before that collection begins.
